I did manage to add $700 to the bankroll for the month, not too bad for only 11k hands. I ran 16bb/100, not bad for a slacker. My goal for July is to definitely try for more volume, maybe at least 15k hands.
The move up to 100NL was not a complete disaster. I ran about 4 buy-ins under AIEV, which seems to be par for the course. I seem to be running fine at 50NL, but can't seem to win a race to save my life at 100NL.
But I am not complaining. I am actually really enjoying the "grind" right now and am looking forward to slowly but surely working my way towards mid-stakes.
On another note, I did record my first session at 100NL, which had several interesting spots. I then did an hour long analysis video, which would now be on Youtube. Except for one small detail. I had the damn microphone turned off! So all that work for naught. I will try to find time to redo it in the next week, but may have limited time since I leave for my vacation on Wednesday.
I am going up to the Thousand Islands in NY, where my wife has basically gone every summer since birth and her father has gone every summer since birth. And now since we have been married, we have gone every year and even honeymooned up there. It's actually a really awesome place to visit and I definitely recommend it.
You can see Canada across the river from the Cottage, and all I can think about is that I am 5 miles away from being able to play on Pokerstars. So close yet so far.
I will take my laptop with me, so I can grind a few hours a day and will definitely be updating the blog and posting some videos while up there.
Right now, I am dead tired as I am having to put in a couple of long days before I leave for NY.. I have to be awake in 7 hours so I had better call it a night.
